 Mens Captain Charity DayThe Men's and Lady's Captain charity day that was held on the 28th September, saw over 50 teams competing throughout the day. Starting at 7.30am, teams were going out continuously until 2.30pm - with these last teams only just managing to get back in before it went dark! A great time was had by everyone, with some very good golfers (and some not so good), enjoying late September sunshine. There were lots of prizes on the day - the best team, beat the pro, nearest the pin, longest drive, etc. The Foundation Trustees would like to offer our sincerest thanks to Alan Walker, the Men's Captain, Di Owen, the Lady Captain and Dave Smart, the Vice Captain, for the excellent day. Also great thanks to all of the other individuals who worked so hard to make this such a success. Not only was a substantial sum of money raised, but also the profile of the Foundation was raised enormously in the local area. We have plans to make this into an annual event, as it was such a success on the day!
